Having played an Epiphone SG for decades, my new Player II alder bodied one was lovely but pretty heavy, not least the modern bridge, so I swapped to a trad' one. First brass saddles were ok, but I was really impressed by the refinement Music City Bridge present in these grooved units. It's a detail, but a great piece of design, and means I can focus on learning the instrument with a reliable, secure set up and an easy to reset bridge. Considering marking my string groove positions for quicker string resets but it's simple to set up anyway. Now, about that cheap non brand bridge plate...mine pushes the pickup against the body, so I may look at a more OEM type unit in pursuit of better fit. Would recommend that, if you do this, you look for good quality parts such as from MCB. PS delivery was to the UK, another star for making that work, thanks.
