MCB Locking Studs pair perfectly with our Savvy or Stud Finder bridges, and will work with virtually any bridge or stop bar.
They feature a top and bottom section that allow you to fasten the studs tightly to your bridge. This can improve action, remove tipping, and eliminate sitarring.
The MCB Locking Studs feature a totally unique design that preserves the look of traditional studs but allows for a perfect fit with your bridge. The lower section of the stud is recessed to receive the barrel of the upper stud, creating a seal between the two pieces.
What's more, the supplied adjustment tools make it easy to change action and tighten the locking section.

What a great idea. Would seem an obvious solution, but no one else thought of it. Great product.
My LPS came with a lighying bolt bridge with stick studs. I put the locking studs in my Gibson LPS. Wow… what a difference. The guitar already sustained already but with the MCB locking studs. It sustains even longer. Even if you don’t change out the bridge… get the locking studs. They’re worth the $30.

I put the MCB wrap-around tailpiece and locking studs on my 57 Junior Custom Ship LP Junior. The "sitaring" went away immediately, and the intonation was almost dead on before my subtle tweaks. Well done, lads!
I just got my Gibson Les Paul Junior custom shop back from my luthier. I had him install "The Savvy™ - Compensated Wraparound Tailpiece with the MCB Locking Studs. What a difference in sound. Then and now, it is just like I own 2 different guitars. The one I had before I bought The Savvy and the one I got 2 days ago. Before, the guitar sounded very dull with bad intonation for a custom shop and now, The Savvy gave the real value to my guitar with a perfect intonation and a clarity of sounds. I am impressed and very happy. That is what I call a Super product. Each Gibson that uses a wraparound bridge should be equipped with "The Savvy ». Thanks to Joe Glaser.
Was using my OG studs and was wondering what was up with the sitaring. Per Uncle Larry’s recommendation on a recent episode stating that if the bridge was rocking at all, then sitaring was expected, I got the MCB locking studs… no more sitar on my 1960 LPJ.

Put the locking studs on a hamer 25th anniversary guitar and it enhanced tremendously an already great sounding guitar. Cannot say enough good things about this product!

MCB Locking Studs (Standard)
I swapped out the factory "locking" studs on my Heritage H-535 with the MCB locking studs and what a difference! They look better, hold stronger, and I was able to get my tailpiece much lower to the body - while still maintaing clearance over the bridge.
