SPACE BAR - Gretsch Replacement Bridge

The radius is a better match to the fretboard and the intonation is way better. The only hick up was that the outside e string holders would ride on the height adjustment thumb wheel unless I narrowed the string spacing enough to avoid it. Maybe the chrome bases could be taller to avoid that. Also figured out the set screws that hold it all together. May need some instructions on that.

Perfect fit, nice added radial string positioning and the intonation even stayed true.
I installed it on a nice, old 6120 and the guitar sings even more.

I put the space bar bridge on my 1962 reissue Gretsch Firebird. The intonation is great now and the Bigsby works well compared to the stiffness it had with the tunomatic bridge I replaced the stock space control with. The 12” radius of the space bar bridge allowed me to get much better action than the traditional stock space control used on Gretsch guitars too. The Space Bar bridge solved the issues I have with traditional space controls, I’m happy with my purchase.

I replaced the stock bridge on an Epiphone Zephyr with a SPACE BAR - Gretsch Replacement Bridge from Music City Bridge and I couldn't be happier. It's not a high dollar guitar but the bridge does bring out more articulate notes, more pronounced highs, the intonation is better and string spacing adjustments are easy as pie. It's a great idea and well crafted!

used it on a 63 double jet. The studs were a bit wider on the vintage bridge but you can adjust it a bit to make it fit. The guitar is perfectly in tune now, but also has more sustain and just sounds better! (different guitar now) So very happy...

This bridge is amazing! I've been trying out different bridges for my Richard Fortus Falcon but now my quest is over. No more tuning and intonation issues, works like a charm with the Bigsby. Why did not Gretsch come up with such a clever design?

This Music City bridge has made chords great again on my Gretsch guitar and I am very grateful! That it also honors the guitar's original hardware aesthetic including having been for me a simple swap with the oruginal bridge is certainly a welcome bonus.

SPACE BAR - Gretsch Replacement Bridge

I've wanted a Space Control bridge for my Gretsch 6131-59 ever since I got it - many years ago a friend of mine had an original '59 and I thought the bridge looked great.
The trouble is, the one Gretsch currently offer doesn't look like the original (straight threaded bar instead of curved, graduated sized saddles rather than all the same, and inelegant, blocky support ends rather than gracefully curved), and vintage ones are horrendously expensive.
The Music City bridge solves all these problems - it's exactly as per the originals were, but with the clever addition of the bar being split and realigned, so it's correct for intonation!
My Gretsch now looks like it always should have, and I'm very happy with it.

....it wouldn't fit on the original base on my 1959 6120. It fits on my 2018 Billy Bo, but not on the original Space-Control base of my'59. It's too narrow.
