The best replacement Wraparound Tailpiece for 1950s and 1960s original Gibsons with offset bridge studs.

The Stud Finder corrects all of the original stop bar problems.

-Extended treble-side collar and compensated top for accurate intonation.

-Offset string holes that allow strings to line up over pickup poles and fretboard correctly.

-Extended treble-side collar gives metal-on-metal contact. This means better tone, sustain and NO MORE TIPPING!

-Low profile so you can set your action as low as you want to.

-No sitar buzz!

Customer feedback:

"In tune, great sustain, sounds amazing, It's everything you could want. " - Vince Gill

"This bridge is the result of years of frustration." -Tom Bukovac

"The improvement in intonation and playability is such a joy to discover that I can't recommend it more highly." - Robben Ford

"The Stud Finder finally gets it right! The intonation is finally right now, the strings fall on the fingerboard where they should, the tone is awesome AND it looks right to the guitar. Well done!" - Jerry McPherson

This bridge does not address the problems on reissue LPs, only on the original guitars. ALSO, because Gibson used studs with a variety of diameters installation might require replacement studs like those offered by TonePros (we like the locking studs).

Truly Amazing

Installed on my faded cherry 1959 Les Paul Junior and couldn’t be happier….the tone, intonation and feel has improved tremendously. Thank you for making my favorite guitar even better!! Highly recommended.

Amazing tool

I put it on 59 junior and skies opened clear and shiny. The guitar already was a beast but with the stud finder it got to a whole new dimension. A huge THANK YOU to uncle Larry for letting us know about this tool.

A game changer for vintage Juniors

I love my Junior, but it’s always a frustration that it is impossible to get close to correct intonation and playing higher up the neck the tuning is often noticeably off, especially when playing with others. If the Stud Finder only fixed that I would be happy, but the improved contact with the posts also improves the sustain and tone of the instrument dramatically. I can’t believe that something that takes twenty minutes to fit, can utterly transform an instrument so much for the better.

It's not hype, folks. This thing works.

I've got nothing but good things to say about the Stud Finder. I set the intonation screws flush on the stud side, restrung the guitar, stretched the strings, and my tuner said my guitar (a '57 LP Special) was dead in tune up and down the neck. No adjustments required at all. NONE. I couldn't believe it at first and kept rechecking. Same result each time. If you play a Gibson with a stop tailpiece, you need to get one of these. Works at advertised.

1958 Les Paul Jr

After years of playing the original bridge on the high E started to sitar. It became very irritating. I try a couple of different bridges they didn’t work. So I figured I’d try the Stud Finder. It worked perfect! The strings right over the poles. The intonation was right on! Most important no more sitar!
