MCB Locking Studs - Designed to work with virtually any bridge or stop bar.
Get 25% off MCB Locking Studs when purchased with a Savvy or Stud Finder Bridge.
MCB Locking Studs pair perfectly with our Savvy or Stud Finder bridges, and will work with virtually any bridge or stop bar.
They feature a top and bottom section that allow you to fasten the studs tightly to your bridge. This can improve action, remove tipping, and eliminate sitarring.
The MCB Locking Studs feature a totally unique design that preserves the look of traditional studs but allows for a perfect fit with your bridge. The lower section of the stud is recessed to receive the barrel of the upper stud, creating a seal between the two pieces.
What's more, the supplied adjustment tools make it easy to change action and tighten the locking section.
Fitment Specs:

Keeps things in tune
It works the way it's supposed to - no more tailpiece tilt. Just get it (available in metric too).
These studs do exactly what they were designed to do. They keep the bridge from slanting forward and they definitely eliminate the guitar strings from causing the "sitar" effect. Very well engineered.
Studs did a great job fixing the bridge tilt on my Les Paul Special . My only minor complaint was the height adjustment tool, mine is a p 90 version. The clearance between the lower stud and the pickup didn’t allow enough room to get the tool in at certain positions. I just ground down one of the tools a bit and it works much better.

Genius idea and finished very well! Locking the studs onto the bridge cures the common tip over. A bit finicky to do fine adjustments but it nissan well worth it!
I have a 2009 les paul junior, it was suffering from the typical tipping tailpiece, "sitar" zinging and not quite right intonation. It was totally playable, but it was starting to annoy me. I was originally going to go Gotoh wrap around as I have one on my custom single cut and it's great, but after watching a gear rundown with Brian Baker, and him saying how amazing these bridges are i thought I would give it a go. It feels great under my palm, it had cured all the problems with the factory bridge, and I swear it sounds more resonant acoustically.
My only negative is the lack of communication, I had some trouble with my shipping and it looked like it was stuck in a depot for over 10 days. I messaged MCB but had zero response. It turned up eventually and is great product.
I installed the Savvy Wraparound tailpiece on a LP Jr style build that I just finished. The sustain is awesome and I was able to get the intonation dialed in just right. Top notch customer service too! A+ 100
I own a 1960 Melody Maker. Not the cream of the crop by any stretch of the imagination but one heck of a nice playing guitar. It has always sounded a bit muddy, unplugged or plugged in. I installed the locking studs and an MCB compensated bridge and WOW! what a difference. The sustain has been awakened. I can't put this baby down now. Thank you MCB for making a sleeper into a relevant giant killer.
