Product Background and Description:

Not only are brass 3 “barrel” saddle bridges the classic, traditional Tele setup, but they really sound great and are simple and stable.  But they had issues… originally, the intonation screw needed to be hand bent, and while this worked fine, there have been a number of versions from the last decade or so with built-in intonation compensation.  They work, they are all of equal quality and better than nothing, but one big problem endured.

What no one has addressed till now is that difficulty locating the strings side-to-side and keeping them in the right place, away from the height adjustment screws, which can cause many spacing and chattering issues.

The Music City Bridge Groove Master Saddles solve all of these issues, sound great and are easy to install, set to height, and intonate.  They have a great array of micro grooves to secure the spacing wherever you prefer and a clear intonation line in a carefully tested profile to keep you perfectly in tune.  Fender used a fine steel “all-thread” around 1960 and ‘61, but threads sit at an angle on rod stock and they were prone to sitar.  The Music City Bridge Tele Saddles have grooves that are NOT angled for this very reason, so notes are clean.

Every saddle has 2 usable sides, and they can be flipped to reverse the intonation pattern.  For instance, the b/e’ pair will have the opposite stagger from the D/g pair, using a plain 3rd string.

Because every detail matters, they feature American screws with that same superior 6-32 thread as the originals, and now stainless, so they won’t rust.  That’s everything!

How to configure your saddles:

Fitment: The Groove Master Saddles are a direct replacement for any Telecaster (or T-style) barrel saddles, ensuring an easy installation with no modifications required.

Note: We are able to substitute a Stainless Steel Groove Master Saddle for one of the Brass Saddles for an additional $5.

A definite improvement

I work in a theatre on a cruise ship and perform every night. I ordered these saddles in early August. They arrived to the ship at the end of September. I immediately installed them, and realized, unfortunately the lower saddle that supports the E and A string wouldn’t work, as I have a Bigsby on my Tele, and the brake angle was too shallow and the strings would slip on the saddle. Fortunately, my old saddles are compensated and I had a special aluminum saddle for those strings that worked very well. So I used the 2 Music city Bridge saddles on the top strings and the aluminum compensated saddle made by JR Kohler on the E and A string. It is a match made in heaven. The Intonation is exceptional, and I no longer have the sitar sound I was getting from my previous saddles on the high E string.

Works great!

Easy to install… great design - wish I would’ve thought of it!… set up was easy. Just from reviewing the photos online and having to frequently reshape the high E and B strings of my prior brass saddles to get rid of the annoying ghost notes, I bought two sets as I believe this design will eliminate that problem. The string grooves are also very handy to position the strings exactly the way you want them over the pickups. I will eventually buy more and put them on all of my telecasters!

Best Saddles

I replaced the stock saddles on my Fender Vintera II Road Worn '60s Telecaster with the Groove Master Aged Stainless Steel Saddles, and I also added the Three String Tree Retainer. The replacement was easy and the screws fit perfectly into the bridge plate. Intonation set-up was spot on. I’ve had other compensated saddles and they were never as close as these, I was amazed. The aged finish is perfect for this guitar. Extremely happy, highly recommend buying them. Fast shipping too!

Worth every penny

I've tried a few different compensated saddles over the years. These are the best so far. Great

As advertised

Didn’t love my Fender threaded steel barrels for the reasons well documented everywhere. Thought about other competitors’ compensated saddles, but found Music City’s positive product reviews by some trusted YouTubers. I ordered a set of aged brass and a set of aged steel to blend both and create my own hybrid set (steel for E/A, brass for the rest.) Install took maybe 10min and intonation fine tuning took maybe another 20min. I plugged my Tele in and let ‘er rip. I love the tone, the improved intonation and the improved clearances around the saddles (no more screws to dodge while paying.) A great product at a fair price made by thoughtful humans. I would buy these again for another Tele.

The Best

These are the best Telecaster saddles on the market! Although you can intonate regular saddles no problem on most Telecasters, the string spacing is always an issue, and even if you file grooves into the saddle string movement and spacing is still often a problem. Took about 10 minutes to swap all of the saddles. Would highly recommend!

Best bang for the buck upgrade on my Squire Tele

I am a rank amateur and newbie and try not to spend a lot on the instrument... yet. I was considering what to spend money on when finally taking my CV60s tele to be setup for the first time. The one thing that annoys me every time I pick it up is the inability to get any two strings in tune with the original 3 saddle bridge. Parris Guitars did an awesome job of setting it up and installing the groove master saddles for me. No more annoying tuning trade-offs.

Great upgrade for my Tele

Despite having a nostalgic attachment to original guitar parts, the Fender saddles were giving me grief in terms of getting proper string height an intonation. The Groove Master saddles solved both of these issues. I was able to install them myself with no issues. Great product!
