New Acoustic Build Install Steps:

RFID tags are installed within the end-block - towards the exterior - on acoustic instruments and near the strap button on electric instruments. This regularized location will help future users more easily locate and scan the tags.

  1. Using the 2.3mm diameter bit drill, drill a ½ inch deep hole in prospective end-blocks. Bits can be customized with a stopper to help regulate hole depth.

  2. Dip the end of one 2.12 x 12mm glass RFID tag in glue and insert in each block.

  3. Using a marker or sticker, place an indicator on the block face that contains the tag hole. This will function as a reminder later in the production process to ensure that the end-block orientation is such that the marked face will be towards the butt of the instrument.
