My name is Mr. Davila. I just wanna thank you guys. I ended up getting the standard compensated bridge with the locking post. Thank you for giving life to my last Paul Junior. Thank you. God bless.🙏
I put the Savvy bridge on a 1963 Gibson Firebird iii to replace the original “Lightning Bolt” bridge and it made a definite and marked improvement in the tone of the guitar, it sounds more full and beefier with more direct attack and clarity that is less harsh. In other words more like a 1950s McCarty era Gibson. I can hear the difference in recordings before and after. Firebirds in particular can be harsh and thin and the Savvy bridge improves that, it’s still bright and clear like a giant tele but not weak and harsh.
I’ve played a lot of 50s juniors and the only ones that were dogs had those crappy soft zinc lightning bolt bridges added on in the 60s by owners thinking they would intonate better than the 50s aluminum wraptails (they don’t). It’s was just a bad design with bad materials, the beginning of Gibson cutting corners and declining. If you have a 1960s Gibson with a lightning bolt bridge, try replacing it with a savvy, it might make a good guitar great
I also should add that customer service was great, I had an issue arise and they went above and beyond to fix it. Totally pro.
I just bought new 54 Gibson. This was my first experience with a wrap around tailpiece. I was a little skeptical about perfect intonation on but that's exactly what I got. I put it on and set the intonation of high and low E and I'll be damn if every string wasn't dead on. I found this pretty amazing and what pinging, sitaring or whatever you want to call it was gone. Guitar sounds better than it did no doubt and I'm really glad I give it a try. Quality and functionality will make you a happy camper.
I just replaced the lightning wrap around bridge and posts with a Music City Savvy bridge and locking posts. What a no-brainer improvement to an already great guitar! Excellent intonation and much improved resonance and sustain. Fantastic piece of kit. Thanks for your innovation and quality machining.
I recently bought the wraparound bridge and locking studs for a custom shop ‘57 Les Paul Jr. I had a 50’s P-90 that I installed and then ordered this bridge! Wow! Extra zing, extra sustain and being in tune is a blessing. The playability is ridiculous. The price was so affordable. It’s a must buy for a jr. or special. Good stuff! Thanks Joe!
I helped a friend out getting his newer Les Paul Special setup and this bridge worked great to get the intonation where it needed to be. Seemed to help the guitar resonate better and chords sound darn near perfectly intonated if not perfect! The bridge and post feel really high quality and machined with quality in mind! Would recommend this product to others for sure!
The Savvy tailpiece is a game changer! Perfect intonation. Music City’s customer service is top shelf. Their products solve problems with little effort. I would recommend them to anyone.
Masterpiece, worked like a charm on my Epi tv yellow special. You guys got it right.
Very nice piece but unfortunately did not work on my guitar, Reverend Gabriel Reeves Dirt bike. I took the screw out and I unfortunately could not move it any further forward so it would not intonate properly
Quick and easy installation and it completely improved the intonation and tuning for my LP Jr!!! Gonna buy one for my goldtop now!!
