Groove Master Saddles
Not only are brass 3 “barrel” saddle bridges the classic, traditional Tele setup, but they really sound great and are simple and stable. But they had issues… originally, the intonation screw needed to be hand bent, and while this worked fine, there have been a number of versions from the last decade or so with built-in intonation compensation. They work, they are all of equal quality and better than nothing, but one big problem endured.
What no one has addressed till now is that difficulty locating the strings side-to-side and keeping them in the right place, away from the height adjustment screws, which can cause many spacing and chattering issues.
The Music City Bridge Brass 3 Barrel Saddles solve all of these issues, sound great and are easy to install, set to height, and intonate. They have a great array of micro grooves to secure the spacing wherever you prefer and a clear intonation line in a carefully tested profile to keep you perfectly in tune.
And because every detail matters, they feature American screws with that same superior 6-32 thread as the originals, and now stainless, so they won’t rust. That’s everything!

After installing previous “compensated” or adjustable saddles, I was a little apprehensive of any company designing the 3-saddle configuration to actually intonate both strings that share a saddle correctly. It was easy to adjust these to intonate. What a great design! The micro grooves not only allow spacing preferences but they hold each string in place and resonate better especially when bending strings.
My only challenges. 1) I didn’t already have 6/32 thread intonation screws. They weren’t as easy to find online as I thought they would be. 2). I’ll need to put on “2x Readers” to make sure I put each string back in place when I change strings :)
I was skeptical but they did make my Tele sound better. And they are affordable and well-made.
Just installed and can only state that these are top notch produced saddles that offer all the tweaking capabilities needed for Tele 3 saddle equipped guitars. Micro groves for spacing tweaks and intonation shelves push this product to next level. I will be looking to purchase another set as a spare.
Beats putting extra holes in your neck
I love the tone and craftsmanship of these brass saddles, and they intonate perfectly with 9.5's.
One change Id like to see is to have the 3 brass billets be a tiny bit wider, so that when the guitar is strung up, all 3 saddles touch each other. What I would up doing is twisting a 3rd string around the 3 saddles and twisting it tight so that all the saddles are touching - I think the guitar sounds better when the saddles are touching.
One more respectful suggestion - I love the saddles, but I already have extra Fender Tele bridges, and now I have one MORE extra Tele bridge. I'd prefer to purchase the saddles separate from the bridge plate - I just don't need any additional bridge plates.
Besides that, the saddles sound great, work great, look great, and intonate great.
Thanks, Dana Olsen
Absolutely wonderful product MCB people!!! Just love this bridge and it has given me a reimagined existing guitar that I already loved to now being my daily player.
I'm very much a hobbyist guitar player. Put this on my MIM tele and it instantly made it sound a thousand times better. Super easy to install, looks super cool, sounds great and makes me want to play my guitar more! Thank you to the folks at Music City Bridge, and thank you to Uncle Larry for hipping me to this!
