Not only are brass 3 “barrel” saddle bridges the classic, traditional Tele setup, but they really sound great and are simple and stable.  But they had issues… originally, the intonation screw needed to be hand bent, and while this worked fine, there have been a number of versions from the last decade or so with built-in intonation compensation.  They work, they are all of equal quality and better than nothing, but one big problem endured.

What no one has addressed till now is that difficulty locating the strings side-to-side and keeping them in the right place, away from the height adjustment screws, which can cause many spacing and chattering issues.

The Music City Bridge Groove Master Saddles solve all of these issues, sound great and are easy to install, set to height, and intonate.  They have a great array of micro grooves to secure the spacing wherever you prefer and a clear intonation line in a carefully tested profile to keep you perfectly in tune.  Fender used a fine steel “all-thread” around 1960 and ‘61, but threads sit at an angle on rod stock and they were prone to sitar.  The Music City Bridge Tele Saddles have grooves that are NOT angled for this very reason, so notes are clean.

Every saddle has 2 usable sides, and they can be flipped to reverse the intonation pattern.  For instance, the b/e’ pair will have the opposite stagger from the D/g pair, using a plain 3rd string.

We offer these assembled in a traditional Fender steel ashtray bridge plate, or as a set of three saddles, screws and springs.  And because every detail matters, they feature American screws with that same superior 6-32 thread as the originals, and now stainless, so they won’t rust.  That’s everything!

The MASTER of Telecaster Saddles

Wow!! These things are SOOO GOOD!! After ordering one set and trying them on my old Tele, I ordered another set for my Neville T-style guitar! These saddles resolve many issues (strings moving, accurate string spacing, “sitar” effect, intonation issues), but they also do so much more…they just make the guitar…better! Tone is just better to my ears, and bends feel smoother and maybe a touch slinkier. Thanks for the attention to the little details guys, and thanks for a great product!

Home run men!

These saddle are genius! Another great improvement by these guys!! Thanks again! The only thing you can say bad about them is that they sell so quick!! So buy 2-3 sets when you can!!

Replaced my stock AM PRO2 saddles with these,,, aside from the technical advantages I find a more even acoustic response between strings. Very happy with this purchase.

Great saddles

I’m enjoying my Groove Master saddles. I was doing the thing where you bend the saddle screws to get some intonation help on my brass saddles for a few years. I noticed some sitaring when I was doing bends. The Groove masters took care of it. They’re great.

Game Changing

I’ve had over a half dozen different sets of saddles on my main Telecaster and my search is over. Intonation is flawless. String spacing is adjustable, but does not migrate once set. They’re sturdy and feel like they provide good energy transfer into the body of the guitar. All this while still having a classic look. These will be the only saddles I use on my Telecasters going forward.

Love these Bridge Pieces

Man o Man are these great. The workmanship is impeccable and they have the perfect weight for added sustain without being clunky. Beside fixing some intonation troubles my old bridge was giving me, it made my life easier because; I was worried I would have a lot of trouble switching these out and having to cut down grub screws(my least favorite job on guitars; they either go flying or I burn my finger on at least two of them in the process). The two shorter ones included made the job painless. Another great feature of the bridge pieces are the micro grooves. I like to put Gibson string spacing on my Tele nut; this gives me the feel I love but sometimes the E’s are a little Close To The Edge(gotta love YES). One slot over on the bass side and two on the treble and my Tele is happy; thus so am I. Thanks from a very satisfied customer, Bill Hoff

Fantastic kit

Turns out Squier Classic Vibe Telecasters have a slightly smaller length of saddle (side to side) and after filing down sharp fret ends all other compensated saddles were resulting with strings too far to the edge of the fretboard on my particular guitar. Strings were slipping off/ got these for the string spacing grooves more than for intonation, but these solve both issues! I think they should provide the physical dimensions on the page.

Great product and service

First, great product that looks right at home on my American Vintage II Tele and solves the usual hassles. Second,I'm super impressed with the customer service. The original shipment went missing in the mail. I emailed Music City Bridge to seek advice. Was really surprised to get a phone call from Josh (particularly as I'm in Australia!!) and follow up email detailing replacement plans. Long story short, I had a replacement unit in my hands a few days later. Thanks to the team for your no hassles, no drama customer support. Very much appreciated!

There are lots if great tele saddles available today. The problem really is you often have to spend a lot of money to find ones that work well with your particular tele. Sometimes bending works fine, and ofen times you need a little something more particular from them. And even more often, you need even more. Having any given pair of modern intonated saddles fit in every given dimension properly is pretty well luck. Bar none these are the best middle ground of vintage tele appeal and broad function. Intonation, fretboard and nut width, pickup and string spacing, it’s all there. The only complaint is they don’t have steel yet, but when they do I’ll be getting a set.
