Not only are brass 3 “barrel” saddle bridges the classic, traditional Tele setup, but they really sound great and are simple and stable. But they had issues… originally, the intonation screw needed to be hand bent, and while this worked fine, there have been a number of versions from the last decade or so with built-in intonation compensation. They work, they are all of equal quality and better than nothing, but one big problem endured.
What no one has addressed till now is that difficulty locating the strings side-to-side and keeping them in the right place, away from the height adjustment screws, which can cause many spacing and chattering issues.
The Music City Bridge Groove Master Saddles solve all of these issues, sound great and are easy to install, set to height, and intonate. They have a great array of micro grooves to secure the spacing wherever you prefer and a clear intonation line in a carefully tested profile to keep you perfectly in tune. Fender used a fine steel “all-thread” around 1960 and ‘61, but threads sit at an angle on rod stock and they were prone to sitar. The Music City Bridge Tele Saddles have grooves that are NOT angled for this very reason, so notes are clean.
Every saddle has 2 usable sides, and they can be flipped to reverse the intonation pattern. For instance, the b/e’ pair will have the opposite stagger from the D/g pair, using a plain 3rd string.
We offer these assembled in a traditional Fender steel ashtray bridge plate, or as a set of three saddles, screws and springs. And because every detail matters, they feature American screws with that same superior 6-32 thread as the originals, and now stainless, so they won’t rust. That’s everything!

Had been fighting an issue with sitar'ing on my D string and tried a few fixes, none worked till these. Amazing it took so long for someone to get it right...much like your original product!
Groove Master Saddles
Installed this past week upon receiving my order (which was handled and shipped very fast), I immediately noticed SEVERAL IMPROVEMENTS on a guitar that I am EXTREMELY FAMILIAR with...a T-style B-bender guitar that I have logged over 200 HOURS playing it on "LIVE PERFORMANCES" alone in the last calendar year in addition to using it on several sessions during this time frame.
FYI...I replaced typical "INTONATED BRASS SADDLES" with "GROOVE MASTER SADDLES".
FIRST...the "GROOVES" in the saddles allowed for precise "STRING SPACING".
This "UNIQUE FEATURE" allows "EXACTING ADJUSTMENTS" to not only the "SPACING" of the strings but also the "ANGLE" of the string leaving the body of the guitar meeting the saddle.
SECOND...the "ACOUSTICAL RESONANCE & SUSTAIN" was IMMEDIATELY NOTICEABLE!
Upon strumming the guitar "UNPLUGGED" after saddle installation, the guitar "RANG LOUD & FOR A LONG TIME"...something the guitar had NOT ACHIEVED with the PREVIOUS BRASS SADDLES.
THIRD...the "OVERALL BOLDNESS of TONE" projected from this guitar when plugged in was LITERALLY FILLED with DETAILED SONIC CLARITY as EACH STRING had a "DEPTH of TONE" revealed thru my setup.
Keep in mind...as "SOUND CHASERS" a.k.a. "TONE FREEKS" a.k.a. "GUITAR NERDS" (which I am and YOU ARE TOO because you are reading this REVIEW in your NEVER-ENDING SEARCH of TONE), the ABOVE-DESCRIPTION will make "PERFECT SENSE" to those who are "LISTENING in DETAIL".
And...that is EXACTLY WHAT these "GROOVE MASTER SADDLES" did to a guitar I "SONICALLY KNOW"...and now...you know too;)
My prayers to you, your families and friends...and to Joe and the Gang at Glaser...thank you for another "SONIC BOOST" in the RIGHT DIRECTION of the never-ending "SEARCH for TONE";)
Sincerely I am...Dan
Awesome saddles, I installed them on my Classic Vibe Tele and the difference was huge!! It changed the sound in a very good way, I am very pleased!!
These saddles are the best thing that ever happened to my Telecaster.
Put a music city groove master set on my Tele can not believe the tone, playability and intonation it gave me, Put life in that log. Went to order a 2nd set, solid out in 5 days what's that tell you. Thanks Joe and your staff as well. J. Howerton / CA
Normally I install 1/4" saddles on my Tele builds, but this build call for 5/16" saddles. The Groove Master Saddles enabled me to center the strings over the bridge pup pole pieces. When I ordered the GMS I didn't know they were 5/16" because it wasn't in the description, but luckily they worked out for me. Thanks to all at MCB for being so creative. At making parts and tools that truly help out guitar players.
Awesomeness!
You have all heard this and now I know it! The groove master saddles made my 83 tele come to life. It’s so strange that this simple yet thoughtfully designed saddle system made my guitar feel and play like a newly professionally set up guitar. Totally serious. Thank you Music City for sharing your wisdom and making an impactful component to better playing and feel!
Just replaced my Tele saddles with Groove Masters. To say they were an upgrade is an understatement! I have never had great intonation on this guitar. Close but not quite. I do now. Excellent job!
