This bridge is the answer to the JR problems that have existed since 1954. I have 2020 lpjr that I wanted to try this out on along with the locking studs, which are as brilliant an idea as the bridge itself. But first I thought I would just try the locking studs with my original bridge and see how it intimated and took away the forward lean. The lean was gone, but I only intonated the low/high E strings which did intonate. The rest of the strings were not tested. This bridge does as advertised and once I aged the nickel finish it’s all good.

THERE'S THE WHEEL, SLICED BREAD AND ELECTRICITY.
NOW YOU CAN ADD THE MCB SAVVY BRIDGE AND LOCKING STUDS TO THAT LIST.
MY LES PAUL SPECIAL NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD.
THX MCB. YOU ROCK!
My LP Special sounds better and plays better with this on. It still tilts up on my guitar, as seems to be common on this type of LP wrap-over, however, I ended up correcting this tilt with a small washer, which improved the sound and intonation even further.
It's incredible how the feel of the guitar can change after just a few minutes of switching from the original bridge to the "savvy" MCB bridge.
Adjusting the intonation was a job with some minor difficulties due to my inexperience with the wraparound, but it was "compensated" by finally being able to see the octave strings in green LEDs on the tuner.
And MCB Locking Studs should be installed on all wraparound guitars from the factory, they're a marvel.
But the most incredible thing is the vibration of the instrument. It seems like a different guitar, as if the original bridge were acting as a filter between picking and the mahogany. A chilling story.
A big round of applause to these gentlemen who do such a great job.
P.s. I thought the sound became a little brighter, or maybe it was darker before... Mmmm, I'll find out at the first concert.
Guitar: Gibson Les Paul junior ebony 2024
There is probably not a more beautiful guitar to play than a Les Paul Jr. the amount of sounds you can get out of it will blow you mind and it is very resonant. Tuning is a challenge with a stop tail piece. The Music City Bridge fixes this problem.
This tailpiece work great with my Epiphone Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior! It’s seems to let me dig in with less force.. bends are smoother. That alone was worth it!
I installed the Savvy wraparound bridge with Music City locking studs on my Gibson CS ‘58 LP JR. it corrected my intonation, sounds great, and fits perfectly in the Music City Locking studs. Solid and straight connection! My old bridge was sloppy and tilted I’m my old studs; terrible for a guitar of this price point! Lastly, it sounds fantastic!
Finally, in tune on my carved top Les Paul.
Top quality and it really made a difference. Very easy to set up.
