The system is ingenious and I am pretty sure it would work well for tops and backs. However, I found it very difficult to push the cleat off the device when reaching in to fix a crack in the side. I just couldn’t contort my arm and hand enough to have a finger able to push the cleat off while holding it in the correct spot. I could clearly see the position of the cleat holder on the viewing material, so that worked fine, and the actual wooden cleats were excellent and worth the money themselves. It was a tough challenge, and there is no easy way to fix some spots, no matter what tools or methods are used.

These spruce cleats were impossible to find on Amazon, and extremely expensive at Stew Mac. They are high quality and shaped perfectly, so no shaving, shaping or sanding required. They’re the perfect size as well… not to mention at an incredible price. Thank you!

I only got the cleats and not the installation system.
I did only receive 9 cleats in the bag, but not a big deal.

Perfect small cleats for Top Repairs at Cracks. The last time I needed one I had to purchase a piece of spruce and make it. This is perfect and they are beveled and cut to size as made, perfect.

Although the viewing mechanism wasn't as clear as I had hoped it would be, the product made my project easier to complete. Perhaps with extremely well-calibrated lighting, the view on the green paper would be clear enough.

Good morning. Sorry but this cleatus is just a waste of money in my opinion. The spruce diamond cut is awesome. The magnifier is too small compared to your video; that’s the worst part too. I did another technique/way of installing those diamond cleats easily specially hard to reach area. I think this is only good for dread guitar that has a lot of room that your arm can play. I should buy only the wood cleats but unfortunately curiosity is either bad or good results. Thank you anyway guys and take care. Happy Easter.
