"The Savvy" - Compensated wraparound tailpiece (Aged Nickel)
“The Savvy” - A compensated wraparound tailpiece compatible with a vast majority of wraptail guitars.
The Savvy Bridge was designed with input from dozens of Nashville studio guitar players to get the intonation line, string spacing, and sound just right. The Savvy uses a custom-designed alloy for improved tone and sustain.
The Savvy Bridge is an intonated wraparound tailpiece to be used as a direct replacement for most wraptail guitars.
The Savvy Bridges features:
- Compensated top for accurate intonation.
- Offset string holes that allow strings to line up over pickup poles and fretboard correctly.
- Clean break-angle to do away with “sitaring”.
- Custom alloy for improved sustain.
How to know if The Savvy Bridge is right for your guitar…
Thanks to all involved in creating this amazing piece of gear , hands down the best innovation.
Nothing kills inspiration quicker than a badly intonated guitar.
I haven’t put my LP Jnr down since I’ve added the savvy.
Cheers to Uncle Larry and the crew responsible for the design.

I was going to return it - it didn’t quite fill the entire space on my tailpiece stops - called and talked to josh - I put it on and what a difference- action stayed the same but intonation is dead on and string tension is lighter - resonance better - same set of strings - my 59’ custom shop plays so much better - the bridge tilts a bit but works perfectly - cheers!
Simply perfect. Put it on, minor adjustments and the intonation is spot on. Looks great to 👍🏼
I bought one of these for a double-cut build I did, hoping it would be better than the mojo-axe I had on a previous single-cut junior build I use use a lot, figured if the bridge works out I'll get the aged one for the single-cut. But I had to wait to get the new build professionally setup, and it was really frustrating to play the single-cut with the old bridge so I said screw it, got the aged Savvy and popped it on. I didn't need to accommodate for string height or anything, just had to intonate the thing and it made the guitar tune up like it had a tune-o-matic bridge! Even open chords were WAY better, and the guitar looks cooler for sure with the aged option. This thing is a game changer for LP Junior and Special users for sure.
does exactly what its supposed to!
These are the highest quality tailpieces to ever hit the market. I carry these in stock to try and convince everyone to switch.
I installed this on my recently acquired Gibson 57 reissue Murphy Lab Junior and it’s simply amazing. Perfect intonation and it simply makes the entire guitar sound and play better. Thank you Uncle Larry and Music City for this great invention!
I can’t say enough about how great these bridges are. The Stud Finder massively improved my 59 Junior. Ordered a Savy for my new Junior with the same results! Badass stuff!!
I checked out MCB after hearing about the Stud Finder as I was looking for something for my 68 sg Junior…. These have the parallel posts so different from earlier 60’s Gibson models ….. it works and sounds great … intonation is spot on …. I would add that locking posts are a good addition as in the case of my guitar I had to bring the bridge a fair way back on the bottom e side and they help to stop bridge from rising forward … thanks
Sounds great. Money well spent.
